By far one of the most unique places I've seen...and it's right here in Utah!

About 2 hours northwest of Salt Lake City is the Spiral Jetty. While beautiful in its own right, this location has more to offer than just being a cool and unique art installation. It is a BEAUTIFUL spot for photos. Even with the minimalist background it has a variety of looks. Now, I've known Stefie for a few years, and this year she hired me to do seasonal portrait sessions which has been so fun! Especially because she is down to do creative ideas and go to cool new places!

We carpooled from SLC, since it's quite the drive, and it was so fun to be able to catch up. Pro tip: if you head out that way, make sure that you have a good car to reach the jetty. Once you turn off from Corinne, UT the roads get rougher and there are no amenities, gas stations, or cell service once you're out there.

We first hit the old broken pier, and I was stunned by how gorgeous it was with the setting sun. Honestly, it was super hard to pull myself away to move to our next location. And because it was so beautiful we ended up cutting the other locations a little short...which really we should've just come earlier! I would have LOVED to have spent more time at the other spots as well as others that we never made it to. But overall she and I were both super pleased!

Stefie changed dresses and then we ran to the water as the sun started to dip into the horizon, my cute husband trailing behind us carrying the ladder we were going to need. We moved quick getting all the shots we wanted in the deep pink water, but eventually the sun set and we had to stop. Safe to say though, I will definitely being going back to get some more photos of that beautiful pink water!
